Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Munich early this morning and received a warm welcome. He is in Germany to participate in the G-7 Summit. The meet will be held from 26 to 28 June, in Schloss Elmau, Krün in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
During the sessions of the summit, PM Modi is expected to exchange views with the G7 partner countries and other international organisations on topical issues such as environment, energy, climate, food security, health, counter-terrorism, gender equality, and democracy. I look forward to meeting leaders of some of the participating G7 and guest countries on the sidelines.
In Munich, later this evening, PM Modi is scheduled to address a program by the Indian community. In a statement earlier, He said, “While in Germany, I also look forward to meeting members of the Indian Diaspora from across Europe, who are contributing immensely to their local economies as also enriching our relations with European countries.”
