That Alia Bhatt is missing RK is no secret. On July 14, she posted a picture of her silhouette against a gorgeous sunset. She was quick to give credit to the photographer, “All I need is sunsets and you… taking my pictures.” The comment had her 2 Sates co-star, Arjun Kapoor, commenting, tongue-in-cheek, “Iss expensive photographer ko zyada use karna chaiya”, while BFF Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor stated the obvious, “Ok we got it but can you post a hot picture now.”
Bhatt was happy to oblige. Three days later, she was showing off her superfit body, informing that she was halfway through her #sohfit40daychallenge. But what caught the eye this time was the heart and number 8 on her phone cover. Eight is Ranbir Kapoor’s lucky number!
Ten days later, there was another selfie, and this time the lady was wearing her heart on her head. She had borrowed or rather stolen one of her beau’s belongings—his cap—because she was missing him. Quick on the uptake, Akanksha said, “Naughty little possum.” Alia’s laugh was unapologetic.
You are my sunshine
Talking about Arjun Kapoor, his lady love made his 36th a memorable one. On June 26, Malaika Arora, who usually keeps a low profile when it’s her steady date, couldn’t rein in her feelings. She posted a picture of the two of them together and wished “my sunshine” a Happy Birthday, not forgetting the heart at the end. Her post was met with heartfelt appreciation from Arjun’s cousins, Sonam and Rhea. Have to say that the once hatta khatta Punjabi munda is now a more toned version of his old self. And a perfect match for Madam M. Fit hai to hit hai, kya?
Birthday phenomenal
While on birthdays, Sonam Kapoor who has come home to her maika, did not forget to wish the best partner, lover and friend Anand Ahuja on his 37th janam din. Not content with posting a pic of the two of them together, she added a video too, which has them gymming, grooming, vacationing and kissing even as Craymer crooned, “You are just too good to be true, I can’t take my eyes off you.”
Now, if that doesn’t make this birthday phenomenal, then, there was more with Sonam opening up her heart to the world and thanking her man for teaching her what kindness, patience and love truly are. “I’m indeed a lucky girl to have fallen in love with my best friend,” she gushed. Anand responded with a string of hearts.
He had more to say to his father-in-law Anil Kapoor who while wishing him pointed out that Sunita and he had taught their daughter to seek only true love, to find only the purest of hearts, and she had found him. “We only know what “pure” means and looks like because of the example our parents have set for us…” Anand replied, and went on to quote Roman emperor and Stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius, “Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.” Hmmm, Sonam’s not the only avid reader in this family. Anand is on the same page too!
Night to remember
Kiara Advani turned 29 on July 31 and in between promoting her soon-to-release war drama, Shershaah, celebrated her “oldest most gold crew”. And as she cut a cake, danced and frolicked, guess whose camera was following her around? Co-star and rumoured BF, Sidharth Malhotra.
But it’s obvious they were still in work mode amidst all the revelry because while Kiara mentioned their song together, “Raatan lambiyan”, in her post, he tagged a still from the shoot and while wishing the lady on her big day described their filmi journey together as incredible. “Lots of memories from this one. Stay amazing. Big Love,” Sid’s insta story read. His “Ki” replied with an emoji heart, referring to him as “captain”. Always on duty these two.
PS: From the sidelines, Shahid Kapoor warned that these sweet fam vibes won’t last long. “Kabir bro is coming preeetiiii!’ he sang out loud. Are we talking just Singh here or a sequel?
Hum, tum aur…
When it rains, it’s time to get corny. And that’s exactly what Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat are doing. The couple who live in the same building got close during the pandemic. On Sunday, the duo posted the same reels from a picnic for two. They were in the lap of nature, roasting bhutta on an induction heater.
Pulkit’s accompanying text was monosyllabic and prosaic—“camping”—but the string of emojis he appended at the end spoke of his blissed-out state. There were hearts, fire, rainbows and more.
Kriti used a few more words—Baarish, bhutta aur hum—and stuck to just one heart. Her corn took its time roasting, but her smile said it all. And while their fans were telling him that a charcoal fire is better than an electric one, we were wondering when these two would jump on the merry-go-round. The 14 Pheras Kriti took in her last release should be enough rehearsal for the real thing.
