Gujarat Congress on Sunday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led state government for corruption, saying that the members of the party are offering government bungalows to ex-ministers for a monthly rent of Rs4800. Congress Spokesperson Manish Doshi said that the market price of these specific bungalows as far as the rent is concerned is Rs42000 per month.
In an open letter to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Congress has alleged that as many as 15 former ministers including Nitin Patel, Vijay Rupani, Saurabh Patel, Pradipsinh Jadeja, Ganpatsinh Vasava, Ishwar Parmar, Jayesh Radadia, and others are still occupying bungalows above their entitlement and haven’t yet communicated their willingness to vacate government accommodation in Gandhinagar.
