To mark the 75th anniversary of Independence, the Indian Air Force is going to organize Amrut Mahotsav band’s Concert in four major cities of the country. Under this initiative, a band concert was organized at Sabarmati River Front in Ahmedabad by the Indian Air Force today. The main purpose behind this concert was to commemorate the achievements of progressive India in 75 years of independence. Various heroic and patriotic songs were performed by the band in the concert.
The show was dedicated to Corona Warriors who served civilians in the Covid pandemic and also honoured the Corona Warriors.
The Indian Air Force Warrant Officer, Manoranjan Thakur, led 25 musicians who mesmerized a large audience on the banks of the Sabarmati River with instrumental music and beautiful songs. Along with the Indian Air Force, a troupe named Geet Gata Chal from Ahmedabad also performed some songs in front of the audience.
Senior Officer-in-Charge Vice-Marshal Rohit Mahajan, Administration, South West Air Command Headquarters was also present on the occasion.
The Indian Air Force band became a member of the International Military Music Society, headquartered in Norway, in 2005. India is the first country in Asia to become a member of this International Military Music Society.
