The Income Tax department, Ahmedabad organized a cultural programme on Wednesday under the aegis of Iconic Week celebration of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
The Income Tax department and the Ministry of Finance are celebrating the Iconic Week from June 6-12, 2022. This iconic week celebration is under the umbrella of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration that is ongoing in the entire nation which is an initiative of the Government of India to commemorate 75 glorious years of progressive India and its rich history, diverse population, magnificent culture and great achievements.
In this connection, Ravindra Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Gujarat, spearheaded the cultural evening organised today at Dinesh Hall, Ahmedabad.
Taxpayers and officials from various government departments and members of Aaykar Bhawan attended the event–more than 600 people attended the event. Cultural performances included dance, drama and music by I-T officials.
Sanjay Shrivastav, Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad graced the occasion as a chief guest. The officers and officials of the department showcased a play and a group song as well as a solo dance to highlight the rich cultural heritage of India and it reflected the endeavor of the department to preserve and propagate the rich ethos of Indian culture and its diversity.
Priyank Panchal, Indian international cricketer who is an employee of the Income Tax department Ahmedabad was also felicitated for his achievements in domestic and international cricket.
