An official said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on June 10 and 18 to inaugurate a multi-speciality hospital and address two mass gatherings in the districts of Navsari and Vadodara. On June 10, the Prime Minister will address a tribal gathering in Khudvel village, Navsari district, he said.
According to the local administration, nearly three lakh tribals from south Gujarat, including the districts of Navsari, Tapi, Dang, and Valsad, are expected to attend the event at Khudvel in the Chikhli taluka. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is also expected to attend.
On the same day, PM Modi will inaugurate a multi-specialty hospital and AM Naik Healthcare Campus on National Highway 48 in Navsari, according to a statement from Nirali Memorial Medical Trust.
According to municipal commissioner Shalini Agrawal, the prime minister is scheduled to address nearly 4 lakh people at a gathering on the outskirts of Vadodara city on June 18, after taking out a roadshow from the airport to the venue near Sardar Estate.
According to Hitendra Patel, chairman of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s standing committee, PM Modi will arrive in Vadodara in the morning after praying at the Mahakali temple atop Pavagadh Hills in the neighbouring Panchmahal district.
“After the 4 km-long roadshow, the prime minister will address nearly four lakh people, including beneficiaries of various government schemes such as rural housing, at the Leprosy Hospital ground near Sardar Estate,” said Mr Patel, who visited the ground with Ms Agrawal and local MP Ranjan Bhatt to assess the preparations.
