All set to marry herself, Kshama Bindu from Vadodara faces threats and trash talk from BJP’s city unit Vice President Sunita Shukla on Friday who expressively protests the act of Sologamy performed by Kshama.
“Temple is a sacred place for us. I won’t allow her to conduct the marriage rituals in any temple in the city” said Sunita Shukla, who believes sologamy is against Hindu rituals.
What is Sologamy?
Sologamy is an act of marrying oneself with a belief in a happier life ahead. “I had planned this wedding for myself and don’t want any controversy around it” Kshama responded.
“I won’t get married inside the temple,” says Kshama not because threat/fear from the statement but so she can enjoy her grand day.
Kshama explains the reason behind her act of sologamy as “Self-marriage is a commitment to be there for yourself and unconditional love for oneself. People marry someone they love. I love myself and hence this wedding.”
Despite the botherance, Kshama is persistent in her act of sologamy and putting out a statement of self-love for the world.
