Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results for Civil Services Examination 2021 (CSE) on May 30, 2022. Candidates can check their CSE results on the official website of UPSC. The results are also available for the general public in pdf format for downloading.
The topper of the CSE exam 2021 is Shruti Sharma, a New Delhi resident and a St. Stephen alumni. This time women have backed the first four ranks in CSE 2021. After Sharma, Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singhla secured the next two spots. In 2020, the topper of the Civil Services Examination was Shubham Kumar from Bihar. The UPSC website shall also release the mark sheets of the candidates soon.
The list recommends 685 candidates for appointment based on their Mains and Personality tests. Out of the 749 total vacancies, the UPSC would place 180 in the IAS cadre, 37 in the IFS cadre, 200 in the IPS cadre, 242 in the Central Services A, and 90 in Services B. The UPSC has also recommended the list of 80 provisional candidates and will release the reserved date later.
Candidates from Gujarat
Six candidates from the Gujarat state are also on the list of successful candidates for the Civil Services Examination. Hiren Jitendrabhai Barot (Roll No 6313489) secured a rank of 332 with Sociology as his optional subject. Other candidates are Gyanendra Singh Parbhat, Mahendrabhai Akshesh, and Kartikey Kumar. They had law, mathematics, and psychology respectively as their optional subjects.
Jayvir Bharatdan Gadhvi (Roll No 0119836) also backed the 341st spot in Civil Service Examination with Gujarati Literature as his optional subject. Gadhvi hails from a small district near Vadodara and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NIT. Another candidate who secured 665th rank in Gujarati Literature is Pranavkumar Govindbhai Agja (Roll No. 6317739).
