Many people associated with the diamond industry consider the number 13 as ominous, and the Diamond Bourse Project in Surat is no different. The project being built at Khajod Dream City in Surat will have the 14th floor directly after the 12th floor. That is, the 13th floor will be considered as 14th floor. Managers of the Diamond Bourse are currently working on executing this plan.
The Diamond Bourse project is being prepared on a 66 lacs square feet area. It will have 4,200 offices. Currently, they have finished around 80 to 85 per cent of the project. Large offices have also been assigned to make furniture. Managers of the Diamond Bourse are optimistic that it will be visited by more than 1.5 lac people daily after it is fully established and operational. More than 2,000 staffers will be appointed for the maintenance of the bourse.
No tower will have the 13th floor
A total of nine towers are being constructed at the Diamond Bourse and none of these towers will have a floor numbered 13. All buildings will have a direct 14th floor after the 12th floor.
