BTS’s RM has opened up about the group’s planned White House meeting with US President Joe Biden. On May 31, the members of the group — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – will meet with US President Joe Biden to tackle anti-Asian hate crimes. The BTS leader published a message for ARMY, BTS followers, on the fan community portal Weverse. He also attributed their future meeting to the fans of the K-pop group.
According to Instagram user btsweverse translation, RM wrote, “Well… That’s exactly what occurred. Everything happens in my life, I discovered. As it is a nice thing, I will return safely. I saw America from afar the last time I visited, but now I get to go inside. Not usually, but I know everything you’re saying, and I’m listening and watching, so please don’t be concerned.”

RM also responded to fans on Weverse. Someone wrote, “I know you always do well, but I’m concerned. Meanwhile, BTS will soon visit the United States to tackle anti-Asian hate crimes and to commemorate AANHPI heritage month. “On Tuesday, May 31st, global K-pop phenomenon and Grammy-nominated musical group from the Republic of Korea BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene”) will join President Biden to discuss Asian inclusion and representation, as well as anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination, which have become more prominent issues in recent years,” according to a statement released on Thursday.
It also stated, “President Biden has previously stated his commitment to combating the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes, and in May 2021 signed into law the COVID-i9 Hate Crimes Act, which will provide law enforcement with resources to identify, investigate, and report hate crimes, as well as make hate crime information more accessible to the AA and NHPI communities. President Biden and BTS will also discuss the significance of diversity and inclusion, as well as BTS’ position as global youth ambassadors spreading a message of hope and happiness. BTS is looking forward to the release of their upcoming anthology album Proof. The new album, which will include both old and new songs, will be published on June 10.
