President Ram Nath Kovind urged the youth to contribute to the progress of the country while addressing them through video clip at the Youth Sanskar Abhyuday Shivir and Satsang Gyan Yagya. The ‘Shivir’ (camp) was held under the auspices of Gyanjivandasji Swami at Karelibaug Sriswaminarayan Temple in Vadodara.
The ‘shivir’ was organised by Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Kundaldham and Shree Swaminarayan Temple Karelibaug, Vadodara. The objective of the camp was to involve more youth in social service and nation-building. It also aimed to make the youth partners in building a new India through initiatives like ‘ Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, and ‘Swachh Bharat’.
President Kovind said, “Youths have an important role to play in the upliftment of society and political progress. I am very pleased that such youth camps are being organized by Shri Gyanjivandasji Swami to inculcate the values of Indian culture in the youths when there is a great need to educate and guide them. I am happy to know that for the past 40 years, Shri Gyanjivandasji Swami has travelled around the country and abroad to create a cultured community.’’
He said that 200 years ago Lord Swaminarayan took three main resolutions, which are to establish many temples, to establish the position of Acharya and to compose the holy scriptures. “I am happy that all the three resolutions of Lord Sri Swaminarayan are imitated in Kundaldham.’’
Kundaldham has also set a noble example in the preservation of scriptures and spread religious values. Texts like ‘Sriharicharitrasagar’ have been made in titanium metal which cannot be destroyed for 10,000 years. Adapted with modern technology, Pujya Shrigyanjivandasji Swami has been making many changes according to the times and has created video gestures using 3D animation to engage the youth which has become popular among the youth.
He appealed to millions of youth to contribute to the progress of the country by following the rules of Shikshapatri written by Lord Swaminarayan.
