The Countdown Day Programme of International Day of Yoga 2022 was conducted at Ahmedabad Cantonment by NCC Gujarat Directorate and Indian Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (NW), Gandhinagar on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Officers, family members and Civilian Staff of both the forces participated in this celebration by following the Common Yoga Protocol.
In preparation for the final event on June 21, 2022, the Ministry of Defence has decided to conduct Countdown Day Programmes on May 19th and May 30th 2022. For this, all government organizations, including the three services, the ISOs, autonomous bodies, and subordinate/attached offices are directed to organize Common Yoga Protocol events at their respective headquarters.
Celebration At NCC Directorate Of Gujarat
The Countdown Day Programme of International Day of Yoga was conducted at all 05 Group HQs of NCC Directorate jurisdiction and 43 NCC Units.
Gujarat NCC Directorate, as a prelude to the Pre Event Training, prepared an action plan for officers and staff to familiarize and train themselves with Common Yoga Protocol training videos available on the Ministry of AYUSH Yoga Portal.
On behalf of Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Gujarat, Dadra Naga Haveli, Daman & Diu, Brigadier Harshvardhan Singh, Deputy Director General NCC Gujarat lauded the contribution of the NCC Officers and Staff.
Celebration At ICG Regional Headquarters (NW), Gandhinagar
the HQ at Gandhinagar conducted a Yoga session in the run-up to the final celebration on June 21, 2022, for the International Day of Yoga. This programme was conducted with an aim to establish better coordination among physical, mental and spiritual faculties, various yoga activities have been planned to be organized from May 19 to June 21, 2022.
About 200 Coast Guard personnel and their family members participated in Thursday’s Yoga sessions.
