National President Shri JP Nadda, this morning, while addressing a rally in Ahmedabad, said that BJP would continue to have strong hold in India and that it was the only party that can lead the country ahead. “BJP is the only party that will take the country forward,” he said. He also said that if anyone wants to compete with BJP, they would have to work hard for at least 50-60 years. Talking about the party’s ideology, he said that BJP wants global recognition for India and is working towards this successfully. “BJP is a party that moves in the right direction with the right ideology and a party that will take the country forward,” he said.
Nadda is currently in the state for one day, during which he will hold meetings and discussions with party leaders and workers, regarding the Assembly polls likely to happen in December this year. As he landed at Ahmedabad airport he was welcomed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and President of Gujarat CR Patil Saheb.
The rally, held at state BJP headquarters ‘Kamalam’ in Gandhinagar, was attended by nearly 700 people, including MPs, MLAs and executive committee members of the state.
Prior to the rally, Nadda paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, by laying flowers at his statue nad visited Sabarmati Ashram. Later in the day, Nadda will address more than 7000 party members from across the state from Gujarat University convention centre in Ahmedabad. He is also expected to go to Vadodara to attend a religious function.
Furthermore, Nadda will meet with state core committee leaders and parliamentary board members, including Patil and CM Patel, in Gandhinagar. The leaders are expected to discuss strategies for the upcoming polls.
