As many as 4,311 candidates have cleared preliminary examinations for the post of Police Sub-Inspectors out of a whopping 88,880 who appeared for the prelims conducted after clearing their physical fitness test.
The exams to fill 1,382 posts were conducted on March 6, 2022, and the results were expected in 20 days but got delayed for administrative reasons. The Police Recruitment Board would have a tough task to select 1,382 candidates from the 4,311 who have cleared the exams.
As many as 96,269 candidates were issued call letters for the exams and 88,880 of them appeared for the preliminary tests.
Giving this information, Police Recruitment Board chairman Vikas Sahay expressed his regrets for the delayed results since he had to go out of the station on leave for some personal urgent matter.
