Rabari community held its first mass wedding at Tintoda in Gandhinagar district, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. This event was organized by Goras Gandhinagar, District Rabari Samaj Samuhalgan Samiti.
Leaders of the Rabari community welcomed CM Patel with garlands of roses and a turban. They also presented him with a memento. Patel blessed all the newly weds and wished them a very happy and successful married life.
Each of the nine couples was given a gift of more than Rs5 lakh for household items.
Talking about the organized event, Patel congratulated the community saying that these occasions helped the society to maintain unity and harmony. Gujarat Government is making efforts to ensure that everyone will prosper, develop and move ahead together. With faith and sincere effort this feat can be accomplished, he said. He also expressed desire to think and work together for the development of Gujarat.
On this occasion, MLA of Gandhinagar district Shri Shambhuji Thakor, saints-mahants, political-social leaders of Rabari community and more than 2000 people participated in the mass wedding and greeted the nine couples.
