The Gujarat Youth Congress had planned to organise a ‘Yuva Swabhiman Sammelan’ at Satyagrah Chhavni in Gandhinagar on Monday to protest against paper leaks and unemployment. But the Gandhinagar DYSP MK Rana denied permission to hold the protest rally up to sachivalaya.
Gujarat Youth Congress President told Vibes of India that the BJP-led state government is afraid of the young voices questioning and protesting against their failed governance. “Many young Congress workers are arrested now. We will protest against this undemocratic approach of the government”.
This dharna was against the issues like paper leaks in government recruitment exams, cancellation of recruitment to government jobs and rising unemployment in the state.
Meanwhile, Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani defied the police bandobast and attempted to reach the sachivalya.
Earlier, Gujarat Congress working president Hardik Patel and Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani claimed that the government has failed to fill vacancies for 4.5 to 5 lakh jobs and highlighted that Congress will fight for the over 30 lakh unregistered educated unemployed.
The Gujarat government informed the assembly that more than 4.5 lakh people were placed in private firms through employment exchanges during the last two years.
