PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Ahmedabad, on his first day he had a grand roadshow organised along with Gujarat BJP President, C.R.Paatil and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel. Later in the evening he addressed the Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan at 4 PM. He also chaired the Trustee’s meeting for Somnath Temple to revive its glorious history where renowned architect Bimal Patel will prepare a plan for a grand ‘Somnath Tirth’.

On the second day of his visit PM Modi addressed the first convocation at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) at around 11 AM, in which a total of 1,091 students got a degree in the convocation. PM Modi inaugurated a new building in the campus and with this Raksha Shakti University will be known as Rashtriya Raksha University(RRU). At the event PM said, RRU will give the opportunity to the youth of the country who wants to make their career in the defense sector. He highlighted the need of well-trained manpower in the defense sector.
PM Modi will inaugurate the 11th Khel Mahakumbh and address the participants around 6:30 PM. Initiated in 2010 under the Chief Minister-ship of Narendra Modi, the event will have 16 sports and 13 lakh participants, Khel Mahakumbh today encompasses 36 general sports and 26 para-sports. Over 45 lakh sportspersons have registered for the 11th Khel Mahakumbh.
Khel Mahakumbh has revolutionized the sports ecosystem in Gujarat. With no age bar, it witnesses the participation of people from across the State who compete in various events over a period of one month. It is a unique confluence of traditional sports like kabaddi, kho-kho, tug of war, yogasana, mallakhamb and modern sports like artistic skating, tennis, and fencing.
