The 121st meeting of Shri Somnath Trust, held at Raj Bhavan and was chaired by PM Narendra Modi. took note of the trust’s services during the cyclone last year. The meeting was concluded with a decision to prepare a plan in contact with Bimal Patel for the overall planning of Somnath keeping in mind the future needs of the city.
The meeting also took the progress of various other projects, such as Parvati Mata Mandir, Safar Circle to Ram Mandir Road, Triveni Ghat, Pilgrim plaza, and many more, was taken into consideration. The meeting also took the initiative to digitize the books (chopdas) and are also willing to improve the lodging and lunging of the pilgrims.
The next decision was onto converting the top (shikhar) of the Somnath Mandir golden to revive the beautiful past it had. This meeting was attended by the trustees including union Home minister Amit Shah, JD Parmar, Harshvardhan Neotia and PK Lehri. Former Dy Prime Minister LK Advani joined the meeting through online mode.
