America’s Lunar Society has set January 21, 2023 as the first observance of “Sushant’s Moon,” proclaimed to celebrate the life of the late Bollywood superstar and space enthusiast Sushant Singh Rajput.
Sushant’s Moon will coincide with the first New Moon of 2023 and its considered to be unique because it is also the date upon which Luna will be at its closest distance to Earth during the entire year.
Sushant Singh Rajput was known for his love for Astronomy, The late actor also owned top-end Meade LX-600 telescope which he bought to view his property on the Mare Moscoviense on the Moon’s far side, Late actor would have turned 37th on 21 Jan 2023. He died under what many believe mysterious circumstances on June 14, 2020.
This January, SSR’s fans commemorated his birth anniversary by celebrating “Sushant Month,” with “Sushant Day” – with acts of service and respect performed to honor him.
