A shocking incident took place here in Ahmedabad on International Women’s Day, wherein a man stabbed a woman to death in a marketplace.
The man identified as Naresh Rathod stabbed a woman named Asha Bodana five to six times, resulting in on the spot death.
A preliminary probe revealed that they were earlier in a relationship but later separated, and police suspect that the separation could be a possible reason for the murder.
CCTV cameras captured the incident showing the victim standing by the side of the road to buy something before the man appears from behind, pins her down and stabs her multiple times and then flees the crime scene.
Police said that the efforts are on to arrest Rathod.
