The DRI has seized a humongous quantity of red sandalwood being smuggled in the name of rice at Kutch Mundra Port. However, the amount is yet to be revealed.
According to the information, DRI had received information regarding a large quantity of red sandalwood being smuggled in a container at the Mundra port. Based on this piece of information, the DRI took action and decided to check the container. The DRI team initially found some quantity of rice in the front of the container and was disappointed. However the team chose to investigate further as per the information had mentioned and the DRI team was also shocked to find a large quantity of red sandalwood in this container.
Investigation is in process to decode where and how this large quantity came from. The amount is yet to be discovered. What is the value of this quantity and how many tons is there will be revealed by late night.
