In a letter to Raghu Sharma, Gujarat Congress in-charge, Dr Vijay Dave said that he has been working for the Gujarat Congress for almost four decades. When the Congress party won 141 and 149 assembly seats in a row in 1980 and 1985, he was the sole in-charge of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee. But now, I am not ready to continue working in GPCC, as I cannot accept the intimidation of Mr Nimesh Jagdish Thakor, son of GPCC President.
“I have brought this matter to the notice of Arjunbhai Modhwadia, Amit Chavda and Shri Shailesh Parmar. My humble request to you is to kindly draw attention to the honourable Rahul Ji and Shri KC Venugopal”, he added.
Everything is not going well in Gujarat Congress, resignations are coming out one after the other. The lack of control and discipline in Congress is becoming a cause of trouble for them, in the words of Jairaj Singh Parmar who resigned from Congress recently and is about to join the BJP on Tuesday.
All this is happening when Congress is going to organize a three-day Chintan Shivir in Mehsana this month, in which Rahul Gandhi has also been invited.
