While some would go with the “once bitten twice shy” adage, this Petlad resident surely begs to differ. His recent attempt to “marry” a new love interest failed, when his wife reported the matter to the police.
Ameesha and Parth tied the knot in 2019. An online match, the couple started their new innings together. Shortly, after Ameesha’s father’s demise, she left to spend some time with her mother.
However, during the absentee period, Parth met another girl online and soon got into an illicit affair. Matters reached a climax when Parth sent over divorce papers in December. She, however, refused to comply.
That did not deter Parth, who, helped by his family once again turned groom and was all about to marry his online love. However, Ameesha and family turned up at the venue and accosted the offending side. Since a divorce was not granted, the “new” marriage was illegal.
Despite Parth’s friend’s attempt to whisk him away from the scene, one Kaushikbhai Patel, the former sarpanch of the village, nabbed the duo. The matter is now with the local police.
