Lata Mangeshkar has been the voice been the voice of countless movies of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. To pay last respects to the mortal remains of veteran singer, SRK went to Shivaji Park in Mumbai along with his manager Pooja Dadlani.
In a video that went viral, SRK was seen standing stern in a white T-shirt, hands folded in respect and he blew Dua (Islamic blessing). While, his manager was seen offering blessings folding her hands in a namaskar. For some, the picture showcased a unified India while it grieved losing her voice. While for a few hate mongers, this sparkled an outrage.
Some took to social media to troll the actor stating – SRK had spat on Lataji’s body while paying his last respects.
Soon the hatred against SRK and Muslims in general amplified as a BJP functionary from a northern state also joined in.
It is also noteworthy that attacking Muslims for “spitting” has a long life on social media.
