Virat Kohli ’s Claims for Virtual Meet with Indian U19

| Updated: February 4, 2022 20:15

On Thursday, former India captain Virat Kohli had a virtual interaction with young Indian cricketers playing in the ongoing U19 World Cup in West Indies. Kohli interacted with players ahead of India’s fourth consecutive U19 World Cup final. They will play against England on February 5. India, undefeated, has reached the final after some impressive performances despite Covid-19 concerns in the camp.

As a captain, he led India to the U19 World Cup title in 2008. They defeated South Africa in the final to clinch the trophy. Off-spinner Kaushal Tambe shared a screenshot of their virtual meet with him on an Instagram story and wrote, “Some valuable tips from the GOAT ahead of the finals”. Kohli is currently with Team India in Ahmedabad for the upcoming 3- match ODI series against the West Indies from February 6.

India U19 team players also interacted with India’s newly appointed all-format captain Rohit Sharma before leaving for the West Indies. They were training at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru, where Rohit was treated for his hamstring injury.
