It is indeed a ‘Garvi Gujarat’ moment for the state as nineteen police officers who will be awarded Police Medals this Republic Day belong to Gujarat.
Of these nineteen, two have been named for President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 17 for Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
The Union Home Ministry on Tuesday released a list of names of personnel chosen for the Police Medal.
A total of 939 police personnel have been awarded medals this year.
Out of these, 189 are Police Medal for Gallantry, 88 President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 662 Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
