Eight persons succumbed to cardiac arrest in the last two days, leaving Rajkot residents stunned.
“Smit Butani, 21, a resident of Porbandar started for his college at 5:15 in the morning. A little later, he collapsed while walking. Smit was a pharmacy student at RK College in Rajkot. Ajay Solanki, 22-year-old resident of Popatpara area in Rajkot, was all set to get married on Saturday. However, Ajay succumbed to cardiac arrest on Thursday.
Apart from these, 35-year-old Suryadeepsinh Jadeja, 46-year-old Mahendra Chauhan and 51-year- old Handaba Jadeja also died of sudden cardiac arrest on Thursday.
55-year-old Hari Lochani died inside the Rajkot Jail. Hari, a native of Anjar, had been taken to Rajkot. But he could not be saved.
Two other young men, Bharat Monpara and Lal Dobariya, both residents of Rajkot, died due to sudden cardiac arrest on Wednesday. While Bharat was sitting at home when he collapsed, Lal was at the Mandap Service Shop and had a sudden cardiac arrest there.
