Police reported that two explosions occurred on Saturday in Jammu’s Narwal neighbourhood, injuring six people. The Transport Nagar of Narwal’s yard number 7 is where the explosions were reported.
The nature of the explosions is still unknown. Police officers are seen cordoning off the area in images taken on the scene.
A police official said, “The whole area has been cordoned off and the injured evacuated to hospital.”
People with many types of vehicles visit the location for repairs and maintenance, making it a centre of business activity that is constantly active. There are numerous tyres, spare parts, rubbish, and auto accessory stores.
The explosions happened when the Bharat Jodo Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, entered Jammu & Kashmir for the last leg of its journey.
