The Gujarat government has promoted five IAS officers to Additional Chief Secretary to Government. These include:
1: Dr Jayanti S Ravi, IAS, secretary, Auroville Foundation, Tamil Nadu is promoted to Additional Chief Secretary to Government. A 1991-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre has a PhD in e-governance and a Master’s in Nuclear Physics. She was both health commissioner and principal health secretary in Gujarat from July 2017 to September 2019, when Jai Prakash Shivahare was designated as the health commissioner.
2: Dr Anju Sharma IAS, is promoted to Additional Chief Secretary to Government from Principal Secretary to Government in labour, skill development and employment department, Gandhinagar. She has done her MBA in Marketing & Finance and Master’s in International Development Policy from Duke University, USA. She worked as Collector & DDO in various districts of Gujarat and has worked in various departments like Health, Revenue, Environment and Forests in the State Government. She has also worked as Director in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
3: S.J Haider, IAS, is promoted to Additional Chief Secretary to Government from principal secretary to the education department in Gandhinagar.
4: A 1991 batch, Jagdish Prasad Gupta, IAS is promoted to Additional Chief Secretary to Government in the finance department in Gandhinagar.
