21 Gujarat Policemen Receive President’s Medal on Independence Day 2024

A total of 1037 personnel from various services across India were honoured with Gallantry and Sevice Medals on the 78th Independence Day. This included Police, Fire, Home Guard & Civil Defence (HG & CD) and Correctional Services.

Among the honourees, two police officers from Gujarat have received the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 19 others have been awarded the Medal for Meritorious Service. Additionally, four personnel from the Home Guard & Civil Defence recognised with the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Personnel with an outstanding record of service have received the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), while the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) has recognised the valuable contributions marked by resourcefulness and dedication.
