14 Gujarati Students Return From Violence-Ridden Bangladesh

Following violent clashes that erupted in Bangladesh over the job quota, as many as 14 Gujarat-origin students have returned from Bangladesh safely due to the efforts of the state and central governments. The procedure to bring 11 more is in motion. 

The Bin Nivasi Gujarati Foundation is overseeing the affairs at the state government level. 

The government of Bangladesh has already been in touch with 25 students and made arrangements for their safe return. Of the 14 students, two are from Ahmedabad and Bhavnagar, one each from Amreli, Mahesana, and Patan, and seven are from the Bharuch district. 

The helpline number for the same is 99784 30075. Parents or other family members can also send an email to nrgfoundation@gujarat.gov.in with the details of people who are stuck in Bangladesh.
