Many Pakistani Hindus have been at the receiving end of the conflicts that have surged in Pakistan. Meanwhile, 868 people have been granted Indian citizenship by the Ahmedabad District Collectorate.
Citizenship letters were awarded to 11 Pakistani Hindus by Ahmedabad District Collector, Sandeep Sagle. The application form for citizenship of 9 new Pakistani Hindus was accepted and awarded for the next citizenship process.
Notably, the state and central I.B. team verified the Pakistani Hindus and were awarded a letter of acceptance. On the basis of which the final proof of citizenship is issued by the District Collectorate after submitting the required evidence as per the remaining rules. In a very short span of time, these 9 people will also be awarded citizenship letters after completing the entire process.
It is noteworthy that any foreign nationals, minorities living in any one place for seven years are awarded citizenship letters following the constitutional process. In this regard, the entire process was carried out at the Ahmedabad District Collectorate.
